My University Gantt — University Planner

Summary

A personal Excel-based university planner that combines grade tracking with dynamic Gantt views for managing assignments, milestones, and major project deliverables.

What it can do

1) Grade & GPA tracking from assessment components

  • Calculates overall course grade points from individual assignments/tests (weights + achieved marks).
  • Shows “what-if” scenarios by adjusting upcoming assessment targets to see impact on the final course outcome.
  • Rolls up course results toward an overall term/degree view so progress is visible at a glance.

2) Dynamic Gantt charts for coursework and projects

  • Turns assignment data into Gantt-style timelines that update when dates/durations change.
  • Adjustable time-step resolution — the same Gantt can be viewed at 6-hour, 1-day, or wider intervals, making it useful for both detailed daily planning and high-level semester scheduling.
  • Supports dynamic sorting (ascending/descending) by start date, due date, duration, or completion status.
  • Supports priority-based sorting so the most important or most urgent work floats to the top.
  • Designed to stay usable as the workload grows (multiple courses, overlapping deadlines, and multi-week projects).

Same Gantt at two time-step resolutions: 1-day intervals (top) for high-level semester scheduling, and 6-hour intervals (bottom) for detailed daily planning.

3) Planning workflows

  • Helps break large deliverables into trackable tasks with dates, dependencies, and priority.
  • Provides a single source of truth for timelines and grade-critical assessments.
